Zine Expectations
1. You must be at least 18 years of age when applying for the zine.2. Writers: Will be expected to write one piece for the SFW zine with a word count between 2-2.5k. You will also be paired with a spot artist to work with to make pieces that go along with the fic! When you submit your writing samples, keep in mind the maximum word count for each of them should be 2.5k.3. Artists: Will be expected to make at least one full page or spread piece of artwork in full color! When submitting your samples, keep in mind they should be finished pieces and, in the case of illustrations, this includes backgrounds whenever possible.4. Spot Artists: Will be alllowed to choose a fic they would like to draw for after selections are made. You will be expected to draw at least one to two pieces of art is full color. Merch Artists: Will have at least one merch piece, the type of which will be chosen when concept ideas are submitted. Merch artists can request to work on more than one piece, but assignment of these is subject to the zine’s budget and the merch that has already been assigned. Merch artists should submit examples of previous merch they have designed and, in case more samples are needed, they can also add art pieces that could be made into merch without significant alterations.
Mod App Guidelines
Writing Mod
Requirements: No previous experience is needed to apply for this position.
You must be comfortable giving feedback and beta reading writer's fics! You must also be comfortable with working in a team with the other mods. Your submissions should contain good grammar, spelling, and punctuation. You must be 18+ and have a Discord account while also be good at responding to messages from contributors and the other mods.Submissions: 2-3 examples of your work. Word max at 2k also If you have any examples of your beta-work we would love to see it! If you have any other zine experience to add as well is welcomed!
Graphics Mod
Requriments: No prior zine experience is needed. As this a very important role when it comes advertising. Being able to communicate and work well in a team is crucial! You will need to be 18+ when applying and have a Discord account.Submissions: 2-3 examples of your work. Any zine work or any other graphic design work we would love to see!
Formatting Mod
Requirements: No prior zine experience is needed to apply for the position. We are looking for someone to put together the zine. You must be comfortable possibly formatting a possible add on NSFW zine as well. You must be 18+ upon applying and be good with working with a team and being active when the formatting process need. As contributors or mods will point out things that will need to edited.Submissions 2-3 examples of your work either zine, fandom bases, or work experience. if you have other zine work we would love to see it!
Shipping Mod
Requriments: Previous experience is needed for this role.
As this a very important role to fill we require the previous experience to be able to apply. You will need to be 18+ when applying and have a Discord account. Be present throughout the zine schedule. Also able to work with a team and communicative with mods and customers.Submissions: 2-3 examples. Be able to provide evidence of previous zine experience of being a shipping mod.
